This webinar was the first public presentation of well established and ongoing partnerships between Pezesha and these three organisations and the first of many collaborations that will practically showcase how SME owners can use available technology, policies, software and other support to grow their business reach, gain new customers and improve cash flow.
If you are a business owner in the Ashanti Region and you missed the webinar, here are the key takeaways:
1. If your business is looking for high quality talent but can’t afford to go through a lengthy recruitment process, then the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has a solution for you. Go to the YEA’s well resourced job centre to access hundreds of vetted CVs for free: https://yeajobcentre.gov.gh
3. If you are a business owner between the ages of 18 and 35 years and looking for a tax break then contact the NEIP. The NEIP offers SME owners a 5 year tax holiday if you are in the qualifying age bracket. The NEIP Affiliate Office is at HAPASPACE near TUC Kumasi.
4. If you are tired of the long processing times, high processing fees and stringent collateral requirements of banks, contact Pezesha who offers financing of up to GH₵ 6,000 if your business is older than 6 months.
As in many African countries, SMEs are foundational to the Ghanaian economy, and contribute close to 70% of Ghana’s GDP. The webinar was a timely and practical motivation to assist SME owners to improve their businesses in a post-COVID business climate.
